Training Qualifications

GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE
Strata Drilling Group holds government security clearance to perform work at both the federal and provincial levels. Additionally, we are accredited by leading third-party health and safety organizations, including ISNetworld and SafeContractor, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of safety and security across all projects.

Environmental Policy
At Strata Drilling Group, environmental concerns are integral to our decision-making process. We educate and encourage our employees to work responsibly, actively reducing waste through reuse and recycling, and by choosing recycled or refurbished materials when feasible.
We avoid unnecessary use of hazardous materials, seeking safer alternatives when possible, and take steps to protect human health and the environment when such materials must be used.
We develop and maintain emergency and spill procedures as required by legislation or where significant hazards exist. Our commitment to continual improvement is reflected in regular training, education, and periodic reviews of our environmental policy to ensure compliance with current and future legislation.
Hazard Reporting Procedure
Roles & Responsibilities
All Employees:
Responsible for immediately reporting any hazardous conditions in the workplace to their supervisor.
Workplace Supervisors:
Responsible for responding to the employee’s concerns, ensuring the hazardous condition is resolved, and completing the Hazard Report form with the assistance of the worker.
Follow-up actions must be completed promptly.

Procedure
Note: This procedure does not preclude the employee from exercising their right to refuse unsafe work, as defined under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

1. Identifying a Hazard:
Any employee who identifies a safety hazard or concern must report it to their supervisor immediately.

2. Supervisor’s Response:
The supervisor will address the matter promptly, consulting with others as needed, and inform the employee of the action plan to resolve the issue. The resolution time will depend on the potential risk of the situation.

3. Escalation:
If the supervisor is unable to resolve the concern, they should escalate it to the owner/manager.

4. Unresolved Concerns:
If the concern is not satisfactorily resolved after a reasonable period, the employee is encouraged to report it to a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee or the health and safety representative.

5. Documentation:
The employee will be asked to document the concern, outlining the facts and requested information.

6. Investigation:
All concerns must be thoroughly investigated with factual information related to the concern.

7. Communication:
The Joint Health and Safety Committee/representative and the employee’s supervisor are responsible for keeping the employee informed of the progress in resolving the concern.

8. Further Assistance:
If the concern remains unresolved, the Joint Health and Safety Committee/representative may contact the Ministry of Labour Inspector for assistance.
