Strata Drilling Group uses the Pionjär 120 micro drilling equipment to provide complete drilling services for hard to reach locations, inside buildings, at remote sites and overseas sites.
Pionjär Drills (both gas powered or electric) are powerful, portable and versatile pieces of equipment effective as both rock-drills and hammer/breakers allowing operators to use them to core through concrete and drive a split-spoon to depth for sampling. The relative size of the drill allows crews to either hand-carry or port the units by ATV, boat, raft, snowmobile, helicopter or airplane. Strata Drilling Group routinely performs fly-in projects at Canadian and international destinations.
Pionjär drills are also used for tailings and sediments sampling programs as well. In tailings, depths of over 100-feet are possible and sediment up to 30-feet depending on technique and conditions.
Various attachments are available with this drill such as cutting tools, chisels, rock-bits and tamping stands (to repair asphalt).
MONITOR POINT INSTALLATIONS
Our crews can quickly install wells to monitor either groundwater or soil gas. Monitor wells can be installed both horizontally and vertically, indoors and outdoors. The standard PVC for the Pionjär 120 is 1.7″ O.D., other sizes include 0.75″ and 2.0″ PVC.
